PAINT REMOVERS

 Paint removers and thinners should be brought to our Household Hazardous Materials (HHM) Collection Center at 2151 Gypsum Hollow Road for safe disposal. If containers are more than half full and still usable, they may be donated to our Swap Shop.

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources considers these products hazardous due to their flammability and chemical content. They should never be poured down drains, dumped on the ground, or placed in the trash.

Please keep products in their original, labeled containers and do not mix materials. Store and transport them carefully to prevent spills or fumes. Proper disposal helps protect air quality, water sources, and the safety of both residents and staff.
